The firm concentrates its practice in the field of matrimonial and family law. We help clients to understand and manage all aspects of divorce, separation, child custody and visitation, property and asset distribution, and other related matters in the civil, family, and criminal courts.
We foster and encourage the eventual settlement of most matters because we believe it is in the best interests of our clients to control as much of the outcome of their case as is practicable. However, we realize that in some circumstances a settlement is not appropriate or feasible, and in those cases the firm conducts thorough and aggressive litigation on behalf of its clients at the trial and appellate levels.
It is critical for a client to be fully involved in every aspect of his or her case so that he or she can make educated and informed decisions which will profoundly affect their lives for years to come. Clients are counseled extensively as to the relevant law, local practice and custom, the needs and views of the Court, and the implications and potential effects of any contemplated decision or course of action.
To that end, we communicate extensively with clients by telephone, in writing, and, where appropriate, electronically. Clients will receive copies of all documents related to their case in a timely manner, and all telephone calls and other communications will be answered within 24 hours where practicable.
